Software Development Engineer, SIDR Overwatch

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for their AWS Networking organization to join a team focused on designing and developing software and services for their global optical network infrastructure. This role is part of AWS Infrastructure Services, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The position involves working with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers to maintain and improve AWS's cloud infrastructure.

The role requires an autonomous individual who can deliver projects at team and cross-team levels. Daily responsibilities include driving software component designs, preparing estimates, documenting solutions, code reviews, and operational support. The position includes on-call responsibilities during working hours approximately every 4-5 weeks.
