Solutions Engineer, Developer Solutions and Engineering Team

Amazon's Content & App Partner Engagement (CAPE) team is seeking a Solutions Engineer to develop world-class technical solutions for app developers distributing their apps and games within the Amazon Appstore.

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of mobile app development and developer support, focusing on enabling third-party developers to succeed on Amazon's platforms. Your role involves analyzing and resolving issues related to Android development, Amazon mobile SDKs/APIs, and Amazon Fire devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced engineering support for partner issues across multiple product lines
• Coordinate with internal product and engineering teams for troubleshooting
• Develop internal/external documentation and knowledge base articles
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Amazon mobile APIs, Services, and Devices
• Maintain coding projects in Perl, shell scripts, web technologies, and Java
• Debug complex application code and implement fixes
• Develop operational tools and maintain service level agreements

The role requires strong technical expertise combined with excellent communication skills, as you'll be the bridge between external developers and internal teams. You'll be part of the CAPE team that manages the global portfolio of third-party app and game developers distributing content on Amazon devices (Fire TV, FTV Edition, Fire tablets, Echo Show).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of technical support experience
• Fluency in Japanese (speaking, writing, and reading)
• Strong background in object-oriented programming
• Experience with enterprise-level applications
• Expertise in UNIX/Linux systems and web technologies
