Sr Automation Engineer, RME

Amazon's Reliability Maintenance and Engineering team is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to optimize and maintain automated systems within their Fulfillment Centers. This role combines software engineering with industrial automation, requiring expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and industrial networks.

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of Amazon's automated systems, from basic printers to sophisticated sortation systems. You'll work at the intersection of software and hardware, developing code, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading regional control projects that directly impact Amazon's operational efficiency.

The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology in one of the world's largest e-commerce operations. You'll be part of the Customer Fulfillment (CF) organization, which handles more than 1.5 million orders daily and forms the foundation of Amazon's business. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work, requiring both deep technical knowledge and strong project management skills.
