As a Senior Automation Engineer in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance and Engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing automated systems across Amazon's fulfillment centers. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, requiring deep knowledge of industrial automation, controls systems, and robotics.

You'll work with cutting-edge automation technology, from basic equipment to sophisticated sortation systems, ensuring maximum availability and performance. Responsibilities For Sr Automation Engineering, RME

  • Being the subject matter expert within an Engineering team and collaborating with business teams to resolve complex problems
  • Development of code on different platforms
  • Solving complex issues across Controls, Industrial networks and IT Platforms
  • Running and leading FC and regional controls projects
  • Acting as a point of technical reference and escalation for FC Controls engineers
  • Identifying and address skill and knowledge gaps within controls teams

Requirements For Sr Automation Engineering, RME

Python
Linux
  • PLC programming and implementation experience with Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Modicon, or Mitsubishi
  • Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
  • Familiarity with ABB or/and Fanuc robots
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in French and upper intermediate proficiency in English
  • Experience with AWCS and Amazon sort technologies
  • Strong understanding of PLC codes
