Amazon's Intelligence & Industrialization (I&I) team within Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement/Amazon Customs & Trade (GSCTP/ACT) is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to drive data analytics and automated BI solutions. This role focuses on optimizing global supply chain operations, transportation logistics procurement, and customs & trade operations. The position involves working with large datasets to provide actionable insights for business decisions, including vendor negotiations and minimizing trade risks. The role offers exposure to various business, operational, financial, and technical teams across Amazon. The position combines technical expertise in data analytics with business acumen, requiring strong analytical abilities and deep understanding of Amazon's global supply chain. The compensation package is comprehensive, ranging from $117,300 to $202,800 based on location, plus equity and benefits. Responsibilities For Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, Intelligence & Industrialization

  • Identify opportunities and key criteria to drive analytical reporting, models and business strategy
  • Conducting deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions for senior leadership
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams and domains
  • Collaborate with team members on reporting datasets
  • Work with technology and analytics teams to support development of tools, automation, and dashboards
  • Coach junior members of the team
  • Engage in continuous learning initiatives

Requirements For Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, Intelligence & Industrialization

Python
  • 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
