Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, LeeP & VMP

Amazon's Consumables Virtual Multi-Pack (VMP) program is seeking a senior Business Intelligence Engineer to drive strategic operational & technical initiatives. This role combines data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence to support Amazon's innovative VMP program, which creates multi-pack products from existing single-pack items to provide better value to customers while optimizing shipping efficiency.

The position requires a skilled professional who can bridge the gap between technical implementation and business strategy. You'll work with large-scale data systems, building and maintaining critical reporting infrastructure used by hundreds of users across Amazon. The role involves collaborating with product, tech, and finance teams to drive data-driven decisions and scale the VMP program, which is experiencing over 100% year-over-year growth.

Key responsibilities include architecting end-to-end BI solutions, developing ML models for pack size prediction, creating visualization tools using Quicksight or Tableau, and establishing scalable data structures. You'll work with AWS technologies, including Redshift and Glue, while applying advanced SQL and Python skills to handle multi-TB datasets.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of SQL experience, strong analytical skills, and experience with AWS technologies. You'll need to demonstrate expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data mining, along with excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $117,300 to $202,800 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including medical coverage and 401k.
