Project Kuiper, an ambitious Amazon initiative, is revolutionizing global connectivity through a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. As a Sr. Embedded Engineer focusing on Flight Software, you'll be at the forefront of developing critical satellite systems that will provide high-speed broadband to underserved communities worldwide.

The role involves working with cutting-edge space-based systems, developing embedded software using modern languages like Rust, C, and C++. You'll be responsible for creating device drivers and system applications for various satellite systems, working closely with hardware teams to align requirements and implement solutions. The team handles crucial satellite functions including power management, hardware interfaces, command & telemetry, and autonomous control.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to solve complex challenges in building highly reliable, power-efficient, and low-cost satellite avionics. You'll be working in a collaborative environment with cross-disciplinary teams, participating in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and testing to operations.

The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments. This is a unique chance to join Amazon's space initiative and make a significant impact on global connectivity while working with state-of-the-art technology.

Due to export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent residents, or legally admitted refugees/asylees. The position is based in Redmond, WA, where you'll work with some of the brightest minds in the aerospace and software engineering fields.
