Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security

Project Kuiper is an ambitious Amazon initiative focused on launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Sr. Security Engineer on the Kuiper Security team, you'll be responsible for securing the entire product and operations infrastructure end-to-end.

The role involves establishing security standards, developing threat models, and implementing defense mechanisms to protect the satellite constellation and customer data. You'll work in a startup-like environment while leveraging Amazon's robust infrastructure. Key responsibilities include security consultation, risk assessment, vulnerability management, and technical leadership in areas like PKI, HSMs, SecureBoot, encryption, and secure device provisioning.

The position requires expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native environments, and security software development. You'll collaborate with business leaders to set security priorities, guide engineering teams toward secure-by-default solutions, and drive the creation of new security tools and detection mechanisms.
