Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security

Project Kuiper is an ambitious Amazon initiative focused on launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Sr. Security Engineer on the Kuiper Security team, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end operational security of the satellite constellation.

The role involves developing mission-critical security systems in a startup-like environment, where you'll drive R&D, deployment, and operations of security infrastructure. You'll work on establishing secure communications, strong authentication, and ensuring customer confidentiality across the constellation.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Designing and developing large-scale security systems and interfaces
• Working with AWS and Amazon technologies to build highly available services
• Leading technical conversations and making critical design decisions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish security best practices
• Mentoring team members and fostering a strong security culture

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $143,300 to $247,600 per year based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology while ensuring its security and reliability.
