Sr. Software Dev Engineer, AWS Usage Forecast Planning

Join the AWS Usage Forecast Planning team at Amazon, where we're building the world's largest Cloud infrastructure. We develop software systems for generating reliable, feasible, and explainable Usage Plans for all AWS Services. Our team is responsible for forecasting and planning management that directly impacts billions in CapEx spending and helps improve AWS utilization to reduce costs by hundreds of millions annually.

We use cutting-edge technologies including Scala, Java, Python, JavaScript, Lambda, and DynamoDB to build large-scale distributed systems. Our work involves advanced forecasting, data mining, and machine learning techniques to predict customer demand growth and optimize AWS service availability and infrastructure costs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with business owners, research scientists, and various AWS service teams. The role requires strong analytical abilities, deep software engineering knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills. While we handle on-call responsibilities, our operational load is manageable as we don't own direct customer-facing services.
