Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Clarity

Amazon's Clarity Metrics Marketplace (CMM) team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build a revolutionary data analytics platform. This role focuses on designing and developing foundational services, UI, and backend automation for a self-service data onboarding and metrics creation platform.

CMM is a new platform enabling data and analytics teams across the People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization to efficiently onboard their data and metrics into the Clarity reporting system. Clarity serves as Amazon's single source of truth for core people metrics, supporting HR and business leaders in making data-driven decisions.

As an SDE III, you'll have significant influence on product strategy and system architecture, working on everything from idea generation to technical design and implementation. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Development Engineers, Applied Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating scalable solutions for dataset onboarding, access control, and metadata management
• Implementing data preprocessing/modeling workflows
• Developing metrics creation/testing experiences
• Defining and implementing the CMM governance model
• Ensuring secure access to PXT data and compliance with privacy regulations
• Mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives

The role requires expertise in serverless technologies and AWS data engineering tools. You'll be building developer tools and experiences for technical users like data engineers and business analysts, with solutions that need to scale to support hundreds of data teams working in parallel.
