Sr. Software Development Engineer, Amazon Transportation, Last Mile Payments

Amazon's global fulfillment network enables any merchant to ship items that are ordered on Amazon to any place on earth. The role focuses on building complex systems for worldwide transportation using workflows, optimization algorithms, and machine learning systems.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Last Mile Payments team, you will:

• Lead the design and development of robust, highly available and scalable payment solutions
• Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Be responsible for maintaining the technical bar through design reviews and technical direction
• Guide the team in engineering processes and tools to improve velocity and productivity
• Mentor both seasoned and emerging engineers within the team and organization

The team builds large-scale distributed systems handling millions of packages being shipped through Amazon's logistics network. You'll be working on complex problems involving a dense graph of nodes connecting vendor locations, Amazon warehouses, and customer locations.

The compensation package includes:

• Base salary ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location
