Sr Software Development Engineer, Internet Edge Engineering

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their Internet Edge Engineering Team within the Global Connectivity and Network Availability (GCNA) Organization. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS's global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, and networking equipment that ensures continuous customer access to AWS services.

The Internet Edge organization connects Amazon to the global Internet, maintaining connections to thousands of external networks across hundreds of locations worldwide. Their mission is to deliver world-class internet connectivity for various Amazon services including retail (amazon.com), Prime Video, CloudFront, Route53, AWS services, and consumer devices.

As a Senior SDE, you'll work on developing software systems, particularly focusing on packet processing engines, and collaborate with both software and network experts. You'll leverage your expertise in data path optimization, algorithms, and problem-solving to implement critical features. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams to gather requirements and build technical designs.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
