Sr. Software Development Engineer - Kuiper Network Services

Project Kuiper is an innovative initiative by Amazon to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you'll be integral to the core technical team building ground-based traffic processing pipelines connecting Kuiper's satellite network to the external world.

The role offers an exciting SDE leadership opportunity where you'll architect and build software from the ground up while shaping the team's engineering culture. You'll collaborate across multiple teams to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure and establish software development best practices. Your responsibilities include leading teams, developing code, building CI/CD pipelines, implementing test automation, and creating monitoring dashboards.

The position involves working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate infrastructure. You'll mentor junior team members while engineering reliable cloud services that enhance customer connectivity, quality of service, and security.

This role requires U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylum status due to export control laws. The compensation package includes a competitive base salary range of $151,300-$261,500 depending on location, plus potential equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
