Sr. Software Development Engineer, Smart TV Platform

Amazon Device and Service is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their Smart TV Platform team. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities in developing Android-based smart TV systems. The position involves working with cutting-edge consumer electronics technology, focusing on platform-level development including Linux kernel, bootloader, and device drivers.

As a Senior SDE, you'll be part of the team that started with Kindle and has expanded to create Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Amazon Echo. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including FireTV and FireOS developers, SoC vendors, ODMs, and hardware teams to deliver high-quality smart TV products. The role requires strong expertise in Android systems and Linux kernel development, with hands-on experience in bootloader and device driver development.
