Sr. Software Engineer, EC2 VPC

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their EC2 VPC team at a pivotal moment in cloud computing evolution. The position involves leading the development of a crucial new EC2 Service that will scale current and next-generation Machine Learning and HPC Platforms.

As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for the software-defined networking (SDN) dataplane stack that powers EC2 networking across diverse industries including Machine Learning, Cloud Gaming, Health, Fintech, and Video Streaming. Your work will directly impact millions of customers globally by delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance networking solutions at unprecedented scale.

You'll be working in an environment rich with technical expertise, surrounded by Principal, Sr. Principal, and Distinguished Engineers across EC2, AWS, and Amazon. This provides unique opportunities for learning, growth, and maximizing your influence and impact on the organization.

Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end design and implementation of features for the EC2 Nitro System, setting high standards for development processes, owning team architecture, and mentoring other engineers. The role requires extensive experience in software development, with at least 5 years of professional experience in programming, system design, and technical leadership. You should have a proven track record of leading engineering teams and mentoring others.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
