This role is part of the team that has created groundbreaking consumer electronics including the Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Amazon Show.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer focusing on Bluetooth connectivity, you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative consumer products across Amazon's entire device ecosystem. Your scope of work will span vertically from application level to low-level wireless controller algorithms, and horizontally across all Amazon digital devices including Kindle, Fire TV, Echo, and IoT Smart Home solutions.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year, depending on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits. You'll be working in either Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, hardware, operations, platform, cloud, and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities include implementing Bluetooth metrics for performance monitoring, developing debug tools, creating test recommendations, and optimizing the Bluetooth stack and middleware framework. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical leadership with 5+ years of professional software development experience and a proven track record of leading design and architecture initiatives.
