Description For Support Engineer

At Amazon Business, we're revolutionizing B2B commerce by creating innovative purchasing and procurement solutions at the intersection of tech and retail. This role is part of the Integration Support Operations team, focusing on providing technical support for enterprise-scale customers using Amazon Business Integration technologies. The Support Engineer will be responsible for managing complex enterprise systems, troubleshooting API integrations, and acting as a bridge between external developers and internal product teams. The position requires expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), eProcurement integrations, Single Sign-On systems, and REST API based integrations. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to improve the support experience and drive technical solutions. The role involves managing high-severity incidents, becoming an expert in Amazon Business Integration Technologies, and providing strategic direction for tool improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines technical expertise with strong customer service skills and wants to be part of a growing B2B technology platform. The position requires participation in 24x7 shift rotation to ensure continuous support coverage. You'll be working with Amazon Business, which launched in 2015 to provide businesses with a simple, personalized B2B experience, and has since grown to serve organizations of all sizes worldwide.

Responsibilities For Support Engineer

  • Assist customers in managing complex enterprise systems and tools
  • Manage high severity incidents independently till resolution
  • Become an expert on Amazon Business Integration Technologies and APIs
  • Work with product managers, designers, and engineering on large-scale projects
  • Act as a trusted advisor to partners in developing tool improvement requests
  • Provide technical support for Amazon Business Integration technologies
  • Act as technical communication portal between outside developers and product teams
  • Cover 24x7 shift rotation

Requirements For Support Engineer

Linux
  • 4+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
  • Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
