Description For Support Engineer, Data for Autonomous Aircraft (DA2), Prime Air

At Prime Air, we're working on the future. We are seeking a Support Engineer for our SJO Data for Autonomous Aircraft (DA2) team to support day-to-day labeling operations and act as the "bridge" between our team and other development/support engineering teams within Prime Air. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Tracking and managing onsite and Prime Air assets
  • Directing internal and external service provider engagements
  • Working with other IT teams on high and medium incident events
  • Participating in process development and implementation
  • Providing ticket-based, walk-up, and remote support
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on labeling tools
  • Owning support activities for different labeling workstreams
  • Contributing to support documentation
  • Creating and interpreting metrics for support success
  • Writing simple and efficient tools to improve operational efficiency

Required qualifications:

  • 2+ years of technical support or 1+ years of software development experience
  • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals

  • 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience
  • Fluency in both English & Spanish

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Java, Python, C++, Linux, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and AWS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management systems
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Industry experience in programming and/or technical support roles
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
