Amazon Lab126, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a Support Engineer for their Core Device OS team. This role is crucial in maintaining and supporting critical OS components, pipelines, services, tools, and application development frameworks. The position offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects that enhance customer-device interaction.

The role combines technical support with development work, requiring strong debugging skills and coding abilities primarily in C++ and Python. You'll be responsible for handling production issues, automating operational tasks, and working closely with development teams in Sunnyvale.

Lab126 has an impressive track record of creating groundbreaking consumer electronics, including the Kindle family of products, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Amazon Show. As part of the Amazon Devices group, you'll contribute to delivering unique Amazon experiences that connect customers with both digital and physical products.

This position requires someone who can quickly adapt and manage multiple overlapping tasks. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where you'll need to understand complex application code, create monitoring solutions, and build a knowledge base for the team. Responsibilities For Support Engineer, Device OS, Device OS

  • Provide first level of support for handling Jiras, tickets, operational issues from production services
  • Provide engineering support including extensive troubleshooting and debugging
  • Work on maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in C++ and Python
  • Read and understand complex application code and make code fixes
  • Develop tools and automate manual operational tasks
  • Build monitoring metrics dashboard and report System health
  • Work with remote development teams for support issues
