Description For Support Engineer II, WW Returns & Recommerce

Join Amazon's Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce team (WWR&R), an innovative organization dedicated to 'making zero happen' through their '4 Zeros' mission: zero defects causing returns, zero cost of returns, zero product waste to landfill, and net zero carbon. As a Support Engineer II, you'll be part of a team that develops innovative products and drives operational excellence to enhance customer returns experience while promoting sustainability.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies to build massively scalable, distributed real-time systems using C++, Java, and object-oriented design patterns. You'll be solving complex problems while supporting the team's mission to manage the lifecycle of returned or damaged products efficiently.

WWR&R uses machine learning models to automate routing and optimize re-use, invents new channels for product second life, and develops world-class product support. The team combines business impact with environmental consciousness, making it an ideal place for engineers who want to make a difference while working on challenging technical problems.

Working at Amazon means joining a strong leadership group dedicated to operational excellence while maintaining work-life balance. The established team offers substantial career growth opportunities and the chance to work on initiatives that impact both business success and environmental sustainability.

The position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work with complex distributed systems. You'll be contributing to a team that values innovation, customer obsession, and environmental stewardship while working on solutions that scale across Amazon's global operations.
