Description For Support Engineer III, Device OS, Device OS

The Amazon Device OS team is seeking a Support Engineer III to join their dynamic environment. This role combines technical expertise with leadership opportunities, focusing on supporting Amazon's device ecosystem. As a Support Engineer III, you'll be responsible for triaging defects and tickets raised by testing teams, while also serving as a subject matter expert for specific services.

You'll work with continuous integration (CI) processes, manage software builds, and develop rules for test environments. Responsibilities For Support Engineer III, Device OS, Device OS

  • Provide first level support for handling Jiras, tickets, operational issues from production services
  • Provide engineering support including extensive troubleshooting and debugging
  • Interface with other teams to resolve defects and show strong ownership of issues
  • Monitor dashboards and applications to determine service issues
  • Perform code builds and deployments
  • Make changes to existing scripts and develop new tools to reduce manual efforts
  • Develop and refine operational policies and procedures
  • Mentor other Support Engineers
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders

Requirements For Support Engineer III, Device OS, Device OS

Linux
  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
