Description For Support Engineer, Managed Operations

AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a major milestone in Utility Computing. This role is part of the AWS Managed Operations team, focusing on building and operating high-availability AWS services for EU customers. As a Support Engineer, you'll be instrumental in the 2025 ESC launch, working with global AWS teams to enhance service reliability and performance.

The position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience with distributed systems. You'll work on resolving system issues, improving operational procedures, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure. The role involves regular collaboration with technology leaders and participation in on-call rotations.

Requirements For Support Engineer, Managed Operations

Linux
  • Experience working with technical support problems across technology domains
  • Understanding and experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience supporting cloud systems or other software services
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting system performance issues
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Legal right to work in Germany
