Description For Support Engineering, TFS AUTOM onboarding team

Amazon's Transportation Financial Systems (TFS) team is seeking a Support Engineer to join their transportation fintech business onboarding team. TFS owns the critical technology components that handle financial activities across Amazon's transportation business, operating at scale across all transportation programs and retail expansion globally.

The role combines technical support and software development, focusing on maintaining and improving systems that manage financial document creation, expense auditing, accounting, payments, and cost allocation. You'll work with a suite of technologies including Java, Ruby, and SQL, while building expertise in both financial systems and transportation logistics.

As a Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of TFS systems through troubleshooting, monitoring, and implementing solutions. The position requires strong technical skills in debugging, coding, and system configuration, combined with the ability to work independently and collaborate with development teams.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. You'll be working in an environment that aims to abstract logistics complexities from financial operations and vice versa, contributing to systems that reconcile every dollar in transportation financial accounts with zero manual entries.

This role offers opportunities to:

  • Develop expertise in both financial and transportation domains
  • Work with modern technologies and large-scale systems
  • Contribute to critical infrastructure supporting Amazon's global transportation network
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on corporate software projects
  • Drive automation and system improvements

Join a team that's building the next generation of financial products for one of the world's largest logistics operations, where your work will directly impact the efficiency and accuracy of Amazon's transportation financial systems.
