System Development Engineer, AFT - Platform Engineering & Services

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) is seeking a System Development Engineer to join their Platform Engineering and Services team. AFT is the backbone of Amazon's global fulfillment network, building and operating software, hardware, and processes that manage millions of inventory units across fulfillment centers worldwide.

The role focuses on developing a new Flow Control architecture to enable automated flow control from dock to dock in Amazon's fulfillment centers. This architecture will provide standard interfaces for integrating new flow controllers, adapting to Amazon's evolving FC designs.

As a System Development Engineer, you'll work with a team of fungible engineers driving strategic initiatives within AFT. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience in designing and developing highly scalable and available systems. You'll collaborate closely with product, science, and operations stakeholders to deliver critical features and products.
