Description For System Development Engineer, Amazon Mechatronics Sustainble Packaging (MSP)

Amazon's Mechatronics Sustainable Packing Experiences team is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their innovative team. This role combines traditional Systems Engineering with modern development practices, perfect for "builders" who go beyond basic tools to implement infrastructure as code and serverless systems. As a System Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of managing and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure that supports business-critical applications.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while building customer and employee experiences. You'll be responsible for scaling AWS infrastructure globally, implementing security measures, and optimizing systems for both efficiency and cost. The position requires a strong background in both software development and systems engineering, making it ideal for those who enjoy working at the intersection of infrastructure and code.

Working at Amazon means joining one of the world's most recognized brands, with a culture focused on customer-centricity and innovation. The company offers competitive compensation ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits and potential equity. You'll be part of a team that values high-availability, resilient systems, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of hands-on systems engineering experience and software development skills, with the ability to work on complex infrastructure projects. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on Amazon's technology infrastructure while working with a talented team of engineers and contributing to sustainable packaging initiatives.
