Description For System Development Engineer, FBA Capacity Management and Planning

Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) team is seeking a System Development Engineer to join their Capacity Management and Planning organization. This role is crucial in building and managing worldwide tools for FBA capacity allocation, market-driven additional limit systems, and inventory planning. The position combines systems engineering with software development, requiring expertise in both infrastructure management and coding.

The role involves working with critical business systems that support Amazon's global seller ecosystem, which is fundamental to Amazon's vision of offering the Earth's largest selection. You'll be responsible for building scalable solutions that help manage the complex logistics of storing, packing, and shipping seller products through Amazon's fulfillment network.

As a System Development Engineer, you'll work on architecture and implementation of large-scale systems, focusing on high availability and performance optimization. The position requires strong technical skills in systems design, networking, and programming, combined with the ability to automate operational tasks and develop tools for improved efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering fundamentals, experience with cloud technologies (particularly AWS), and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. You'll have the opportunity to impact technical decisions across the organization while mentoring other engineers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges at scale, has a passion for automation and system optimization, and wants to work on systems that directly impact Amazon's global seller community. The role offers significant growth potential and the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
