Description For System Development Engineer II, AWS Managed Operations (MO) AWSOM Team

AWS Managed Operations (MO) is seeking a System Development Engineer II to join their AWSOM Team. Founded in April 2023, MO focuses on reducing operational load and toil through long-term engineering projects. The role offers a unique blend of hands-on systems operations and software engineering, where you'll spend approximately 50% of your time operating production systems and 50% making long-term improvements to reliability, availability, and performance.

As part of AWS, the world's leading cloud platform, you'll work on some of the largest software systems ever built. The position involves diving deep into complex systems, driving technical and cultural change, and improving the reliability and efficiency of AWS regions. You'll be part of building a best-in-class engineering and operations team responsible for day-to-day operations of AWS Regions.
