Responsibilities For System Development Engineer II, Engineering Integration

  • Design and develop controls for robotics systems and industrial automation equipment integration
  • Design and improve system controls architecture including machine control code, networking, electrical design and safety design
  • Develop controls code using structured text and ladder-logic on CodeSys and Studio 5000 platforms
  • Identify and implement system optimizations
  • Contribute to value engineering of system's electrical and controls hardware components
  • 50% travel for onsite system testing

Requirements For System Development Engineer II, Engineering Integration

  • 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
  • 5+ years of control system working experience in PLC-based controls design, development, implementation and support
  • 5+ years machine control code development experience with practical experience in structured text and/or ladder-logic
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLC and Soft PLCs/IPCs
  • Experience deploying and supporting industrial automation products at scale
  • Experience utilizing software development best practices for code management and code reviews
