System Development Engineer III, Traffic Engineering

Amazon Traffic Engineering is seeking a Senior System Development Engineer to join their mission of providing managed secure, resilient, and performant traffic connectivity solutions. This role focuses on supporting Amazon's Consumer business including Retail, Amazon Video, Kindle, and Amazon Subsidiaries. You'll work on best-in-class software handling hundreds of millions of requests per minute, defining new architectural patterns for complex microservice architectures. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and security implementation.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in system design, programming with modern languages, and working with Linux/Unix environments. You'll be responsible for improving system quality, consistency, maintainability, performance, and security at industry-leading scale.
