Description For Systems Development Engineer

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their Region Services team. This role is crucial in redefining how AWS designs, builds, and operates AWS regions to enable new cloud infrastructure and services. The position focuses on supporting foundational services like S3 and EC2, while ensuring high availability and performance for customers requiring specialized security solutions.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be part of a team that provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within AWS Regions. Your responsibilities will include automating system health monitoring, developing management tools, and participating in on-call rotations to maintain service reliability.

The ideal candidate will have experience with automation, Linux/Unix systems, and modern programming languages. You'll work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the enhancement of day-to-day operations while ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.
