Description For Systems Development Engineer, Kuiper Devices & Systems

Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network focused on delivering fast, reliable internet to customers worldwide. The Kuiper Devices & Systems (KDS) team manages client and server devices, ensuring compliance, security, and productivity for all internal Kuiper devices.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing AWS infrastructure including EC2, CloudFormation Templates, and Load Balancers
  • Building enterprise-grade AWS application environments using Infrastructure as Code
  • Architecting infrastructure on AWS GovCloud
  • Implementing fleet management solutions for endpoints
  • Creating automation tools and scripts
  • Ensuring security compliance with internal policies and industry standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

The role requires deep experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM), Client Fleet Management, and Microsoft Intune. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where innovation and automation are key to scaling operations.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 per year based on location and experience, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This is a unique opportunity to join Amazon's ambitious satellite internet project and help connect the unconnected worldwide.
