Systems Development Engineer, Maintenance Automation Platform

Amazon is seeking a Senior Systems Development Engineer to join their Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP) Team, which plays a crucial role in managing one of the world's largest Reliability, Maintenance Engineering (RME) enterprises. This position focuses on supporting and developing software solutions that connect low-level automation systems with cloud infrastructure, implementing Industry 4.0 principles. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including Machine Learning and Big Data, to develop predictive maintenance systems that prevent equipment downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced systems engineer who can solve complex problems independently, maintain high quality standards, and think strategically about system scalability. You'll be working at various levels of the automation pyramid, from device-level to enterprise-level systems, requiring a broad understanding of systems engineering principles and modern software development practices.

As part of the MAP Team, you'll be responsible for maturing and integrating core software tools into a unified Maintenance Automation Platform. This involves ensuring that machine-generated data leads to automated, appropriate, and effective maintenance actions, both proactive and predictive.
