Systems Development Engineer, Managed Operations

AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a groundbreaking initiative in utility computing. As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building and leading teams responsible for high-availability AWS services including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, specifically for EU customers.

The position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring expertise in automation, operations, and system development. You'll work directly with global AWS teams to influence service evolution and technology direction, while ensuring the highest standards of availability, reliability, and performance for the European Sovereign Cloud.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is at the forefront of product innovation, from foundational services like S3 and EC2 to cutting-edge features that maintain AWS's industry leadership. The role involves supporting various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with technology leaders, enhancing operations, and participating in on-call rotations for incident resolution.
