Description For Systems Development Engineer, Managed Operations

AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a major advancement in utility computing. This role within the AWS Managed Operations team is crucial for building and leading operations and development teams focused on high-availability AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock for EU customers. The position combines operational excellence with development work, requiring a 50-50 split between operating production systems and making long-term improvements. You'll collaborate with technology leaders, enhance daily operations, and ensure optimal service performance. The role involves occasional on-call duties and requires strong technical skills in cloud computing, automation, and system operations. As part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), you'll work with foundational services and new innovations that distinguish AWS in the industry.
