Description For Systems Development Engineer, Route 53 - DNS Security and DNS Management

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to drive the evolution of Route 53 Resolver DNS Firewall and Route 53 Profiles. This role is crucial in protecting thousands of organizations worldwide from DNS-based threats while simplifying DNS management at scale. The position involves designing and building solutions that expand our global footprint, enhance security capabilities, and create operational excellence for services handling billions of DNS queries daily.

The role combines hands-on development with systems architecture, requiring expertise in distributed systems, networking, and security.   • Design, develop, and deploy systems for global expansion of Route 53 Resolver DNS Firewall and Route 53 Profiles
  • Establish operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and self-healing infrastructure
  • Architect and implement new security features to defend against evolving DNS threats
  • Create efficient, scalable systems for managing DNS filtering rules, policies, and configurations
  • Build tools that simplify operational processes and improve service reliability
