As a Systems Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of the ESC launch in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams to shape the future of AWS services. Your daily responsibilities will include working with technology leaders, improving operations, and ensuring optimal service performance metrics including availability, reliability, and efficiency.
The role is part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), which drives product innovations from foundational services to cutting-edge features. You'll be working in a dynamic environment supporting various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps.
Your typical week involves reviewing operational health, identifying system anomalies, creating bug reports, and managing change processes. You'll also develop and test scripts to improve workflows and educate service teams about the European Sovereign Cloud. The position includes 24x7 on-call duties and requires a strong focus on maintaining operational excellence.
