We're seeking an experienced Systems Development Engineer to lead utilities assessments and architect system specifications for large-scale warehouse robotics deployment. This role combines engineering expertise with data analysis to optimize power, compressed air, and network infrastructure for Amazon's innovative fulfillment centers.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional engineering and modern automation, requiring both practical utilities knowledge and software development skills. Responsibilities For Utilities Engineer, Global Robotics Delivery, Tech Transformation

  • Perform power, compressed air, and network bandwidth studies at the product- and building-level
  • Create validation procedures for subsystem-level utilities demand models
  • Identify and analyze utilities consumption anomalies
  • Develop automated scripts to ingest and process utilities data
  • Create data pipelines and dashboards
  • Lead technical documentation on utilities consumption and derating
  • Seek consultation from engineering firm for technical validation

Requirements For Utilities Engineer, Global Robotics Delivery, Tech Transformation

Python
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards
  • Experience with SQL and similar query languages
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical & Computer
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to cope with ambiguity and work autonomously
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%
