Video Systems Engineer, Media Systems Engineering

Prime Video is seeking an experienced video systems engineer to join their Media Systems Engineering, Studios Technology team in Culver City, CA. This role involves working in a cross-functional team supporting production and post-production partners to define, build, implement and maintain business-critical infrastructure for Studios teams globally. The position focuses on designing and supporting video systems and developing future platform roadmaps.

Prime Video is a leading entertainment destination offering premium content including Amazon MGM Studios productions, licensed content, live sports, and programming from partners. The role involves being a lead technical expert on advanced video transport systems, working with internal teams and external partners to drive technology adoption and innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading system development, planning and execution for high-resolution video transport systems
• Designing, deploying and maintaining media systems for Amazon Studios/Prime Video facilities
• Advising internal teams on new technology adoption
• Collaborating with production teams on next-gen media transport
• Working with vendors and industry partners on solutions

The position requires deep expertise in video/audio transport standards, encoding protocols, and streaming technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS MediaServices and video systems from major manufacturers like Evertz, Grass Valley, etc.
