Sr. Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Angel Studios is seeking a Senior Elixir Software Engineer to join their team and work on massively scalable distributed applications. The role involves building products that enable consumers to enjoy content they can co-create with creators through the Angel Studios platform. You'll be part of a high-energy, cross-functional team, working on perfecting the viewing and community engagement experience across all Angel Studios web, mobile, and TV apps.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating scalable and high-performance applications
• Implementing code that runs great across platforms
• Analyzing application performance and recommending improvements
• Performing code reviews, testing, and debugging
• Contributing to technical documentation
• Building efficient, secure, reusable, and reliable code
• Collaborating with a diverse team

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Elixir and experience with other technologies like Python, Java, JavaScript, Erlang, Go, Kotlin
• Experience with queuing systems and data warehouses
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
