Description For Senior Software Engineer, Capital Products

AngelList, a leading platform in venture capital and startup ecosystem with over $124B+ in assets, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Capital Products Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of private market investments, which now exceed $13T in AUM.

The position focuses on building new products that streamline the entire investing lifecycle—from discovery and diligence to transaction flows and reporting. As a founding engineer on the Capital Products Team, you'll be instrumental in creating robust backend services and intuitive user interfaces that seamlessly integrate with AngelList's broader ecosystem, regulatory obligations, and KYC-to-transaction workflows.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience in building large-scale web applications and thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You'll be working in a culture that values high trust, low management, and mutual respect, where small teams deliver outsized impact on the industry.

What makes this role particularly compelling is the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and finance, helping connect startups and investors who might never have met otherwise. You'll be part of a mission to accelerate innovation by increasing the number of successful startups in the world, with 57% of top-tier U.S. VC deals involving investors on AngelList.

The compensation package is competitive, starting at $200,000+ annually, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement from the San Francisco office, requiring in-office collaboration at least twice per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about financial technology, venture capital, and building products that empower the next generation of innovators.
