Description For Design Engineer

Anima is revolutionizing healthcare through their Care Enablement platform, combining online consultation with productivity tools in a realtime multiplayer dashboard. As a Design Engineer, you'll join a unique hacker culture with a flat hierarchy where everyone is technical and UX-focused.

The company has shown remarkable growth, reaching $7M ARR in 20 months and serving 3 million lives with 20,000 daily users. They raised a $12M Series A in 2024 and are cash flow positive. The role offers an opportunity to work on life-saving technology while collaborating with a team of ex-MDs and experienced engineers.

You'll be responsible for creating and implementing user flows, working closely with engineers and the sales team to enhance the product experience. The role involves designing solutions for both clinical users and patients, working with Figma for mockups, and participating in an iterative design process guided by user feedback.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating UX directed graphs and Figma mockups for new features
  • Collaborating with clinical engineers and power users
  • Implementing creative solutions to improve clarity across applications
  • Leading design for flagship features including video consultation
  • Contributing to design standards and processes

The ideal candidate should be a frontend engineer with strong product intuition and design skills, passionate about healthcare innovation, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. Experience with Figma is valuable, though they're open to those eager to learn.
