AIML - Machine Learning Engineer, Machine Learning Platform & Infrastructure

At Apple, we're seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Information Intelligence Infrastructure team. This role is at the forefront of building groundbreaking technology for search, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Our infrastructure serves as the backbone of Apple Intelligence, powering the largest Apple foundation models and a wide range of services including Apple Search, Apple Music, AppleTV, AppStore, iMessages, Photos & Camera, Spotlight, Safari, and Siri.

You'll work in one of the most exciting high-performance computing environments, handling petabytes of data and millions of queries per second. Your role involves optimizing billions of parameter language, vision, and speech models using state-of-the-art technologies at Apple's scale. The team processes billions of requests daily across our search and foundation model platform, taking full end-to-end ownership of services from conception through maintenance.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll collaborate with the Foundation Model Research team to optimize inference for cutting-edge model architectures and work closely with product teams to develop production-grade solutions. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining systems using modern languages like Golang and Python, working with fundamental Deep Learning architectures, and potentially developing custom CUDA kernels.
