AIML - Machine Learning Engineer, Machine Learning Platform & Infrastructure

At Apple, we're seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Information Intelligence teams building groundbreaking technology for algorithmic search, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. This role focuses on developing infrastructure that powers search features across Apple products including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages and Lookup.

You'll work with one of the most exciting high-performance computing environments, handling petabytes of data and millions of queries per second. The team processes trillions of web links to select and crawl the most relevant content for users. You'll be responsible for developing algorithms to recommend relevant URLs, classify content quality, and continuously improve the system through signal derivation.

We're looking for someone who can take full end-to-end ownership of services, from conception through maintenance. You'll apply statistical analysis to enhance link selection, freshness, retrieval rates, and extraction quality. This is an opportunity to work on incredibly complex large-scale systems processing trillions of records.

The ideal candidate has strong coding skills, experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, and can handle petabyte-scale data processing. You should be comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally. Experience with AWS services, web crawling, and information retrieval is highly valued.
