CAD Emulation Engineer

Apple's Silicon Technologies group is seeking a CAD Emulation Engineer to join their team working on next-generation, high-performance processor and system-on-chip (SoC) development. This role is crucial in creating and maintaining advanced emulation environments that are essential for chip verification.

The position involves close collaboration with Platform Engineering, Digital Verification, and various other teams including Design, Power, Silicon Validation, Performance, and Software teams. You'll work with leading emulation vendors to make FPGA and emulation platforms more effective for long simulation and software workloads.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and promoting virtual prototype solutions for faster bring-up
• Providing enhanced verification platforms for chip development
• Creating and maintaining robust emulation environments
• Collaborating across multiple engineering teams

Required qualifications:

• BS degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, Kotlin or TCL
• Strong software development background

Preferred skills:

• Experience with emulation platforms (Palladium, Veloce, Zebu)
• Knowledge of batch job schedulers, Cloud Computing, and DevOps
• Expertise in version control systems
• Experience with Verilog and System Verilog
• Xilinx and Altera FPGA experience
• Machine Learning knowledge
• Strong communication skills
