Apple's Camera Algorithm team is seeking exceptional algorithm engineers to work on image capture and processing/rendering algorithms for all Apple products' cameras. This role focuses on core camera/ISP/Machine Learning technologies using Apple's custom image signal processing pipeline and hardware components, including the Apple Image Signal Processor (ISP) and Apple Neural Engine.
As a Camera ISP Algorithm Engineer, you'll be instrumental in defining how Apple cameras capture, process, and render outstanding still image and video quality. You'll work in a collaborative, close-knit team environment that promotes product innovation and rapid iteration. The role offers significant autonomy while working closely with Silicon Design, Camera Hardware, and QA teams.
The position requires expertise in image signal processing, camera sensors, and optics, with a focus on developing and optimizing ISP processing algorithms. You'll be responsible for improving image and video quality through algorithm development, pipeline tuning, and solving complex technical challenges.
Key responsibilities include developing new ISP processing and control algorithms, correcting various camera sensor and lens effects, and optimizing pixel pipelines for quality and performance. The role offers competitive compensation ($143,100-$264,200) plus equity opportunities through stock programs and comprehensive benefits.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers passionate about imaging technology to make a significant impact on Apple's camera systems, working at the intersection of hardware and software in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values innovation and technical excellence.
