Cloud and Automation Engineer

Apple is seeking a Cloud and Automation Engineer to join their Retail Engineering team within the Financing and Retail Services organization. This role is crucial in supporting various mobile and web apps used in Apple's retail stores worldwide. The position involves managing a large infrastructure fleet across Global DataCenters and cloud vendors like AWS and GCP, ensuring stability for Apple store applications globally.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product owners and app teams to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and identify improvement areas across the app suite. They will be responsible for managing both offshore and onsite support teams, handling user queries from Apple stores, and building robust monitoring systems.

This role combines infrastructure management, automation development, and team leadership. The engineer will work on creating tools to streamline troubleshooting processes, reducing downtime for critical applications. They'll need expertise in Kubernetes, Linux systems, and cloud platforms, along with strong scripting abilities in Python and Shell.
