Description For CoreMedia AR/VR Software Engineer

The Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) organization at Apple is seeking a talented CoreMedia AR/VR Software Engineer to join their team. This role is within the CoreMedia Spatial Technologies team, which is responsible for implementing software services around linear audiovisual media across all Apple platforms including iOS, macOS, visionOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

The ideal candidate will work on developing media formats and playback capabilities to power the next generation of interactive augmented reality experiences using Apple's latest technologies including RealityKit and ARKit. You'll be implementing new features for media playback, streaming, and transcoding while improving performance and software quality for cross-platform media frameworks.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge AR/VR technology while solving complex technical challenges in media processing. You'll be part of the team that provides the audiovisual media foundation across Apple's innovative products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro, HomePod, AppleTV, and Apple Watch.

The role offers competitive compensation including base pay between $121,900 and $214,500, plus additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and education reimbursement. You'll be working in Cupertino, California, contributing to technologies such as AVFoundation, CoreMedia, CoreAudio, Media Toolbox and Video Toolbox.
