Description For Design Verification Engineer

This role focuses on enabling fully functional first silicon for IP designs through comprehensive pre-silicon verification.

You'll be responsible for all phases of verification including methodology establishment, test-plan development, environment development, and sign-off for RTL freeze and tape-out. The role involves developing detailed test plans, creating scalable verification environments, and ensuring bug-free silicon through rigorous testing and validation.

Key responsibilities include developing verification methodology, creating test environments with stimulus and checkers, executing verification plans, and tracking progress through various metrics. You'll work with cutting-edge hardware designs and have the opportunity to impact millions of Apple customers through your work.

Responsibilities For Design Verification Engineer

  • Ensure bug-free first silicon for part of the SoC / IP
  • Develop detailed test and coverage plans based on micro-architecture
  • Develop verification methodology suitable for the IP
  • Develop verification environment including stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, coverage
  • Execute verification plans including design bring-up and regression testing
  • Track and report DV progress using various metrics

Requirements For Design Verification Engineer

Python
  • BS degree in technical subject area with minimum 10 years of proven experience
  • Solid knowledge of OOP, SystemVerilog, and UVM
  • Solid knowledge in developing scalable and portable test-benches
  • Experience with verification methodologies and tools
  • Experience with power-aware (UPF) or similar verification methodology
  • Excellent knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL
