Description For GPU Design Verification Engineer

Apple's Silicon Technologies group is seeking a GPU Design Verification Engineer to join their team working on next-generation, high-performance processors and system-on-chip (SoC) designs. This role is critical in ensuring Apple's products maintain their exceptional performance and efficiency. The position involves pre-silicon RTL verification of GPU sub-units, requiring deep understanding of micro-architectural details and broader GPU design principles.

The ideal candidate will work closely with design leads and architects to develop comprehensive verification plans, build and maintain test environments, and ensure thorough testing of complex hardware designs. They will be responsible for generating both directed and random tests, running simulations, and debugging design issues. The role requires expertise in hardware description languages, verification methodologies like UVM, and strong programming skills.

Key responsibilities include creating functional coverage points, analyzing coverage data, and improving test environments to address coverage gaps. The engineer will also develop automated verification flows and collaborate with block, subsystem, and chip-level engineers to ensure seamless verification processes.

This position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $166,600 to $296,300, plus additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and education reimbursement. The role is based in San Diego, California, and requires 10+ years of relevant experience with a strong background in computer architecture and verification methodology.

Join Apple's innovative hardware team and contribute to the development of technology that powers millions of beloved devices worldwide. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge GPU technology while solving complex challenges in a collaborative environment.
